Almost to his next performance title!

The big man and I had a lovely morning at The Poodle Farm for the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of Southwestern Ontario's Scent Detection trial. It was a foggy drive in, but turned out to be a stunning day, full of sun and the changing leaves of fall.

Dallas qualified in both his Open Containers run and his Open Interior.

Unfortunately, we didn't get the ribbon in the Open Exterior (a component he has always had a bit of trouble with - I blame that hound nose wanting to check out ALL the outside smells! LOL), which means he is now just one element away from finishing his Open Scent Detection title.

We're going to give it a try again in December.

All in all, Dallas performed beautifully and I couldn't be more proud of how he led this rusty, out of practice team to 2 victories today.
